James “Jabber” Beck, 52, of 1049 Prior Station Rd., Cedartown, passed away 
Wednesday, July 2, 2003. He was born October 15, 1950 in Polk County. He was 
preceded in death by his parents, William and Nancy Beck; and brother, Ray 
Beck. Survivors include wife, Mary Ann Richardson Beck; children and spouses 
Donald and Gail Puckett, Brenda and Lee Grissom, Michelle and Tommy Pierce; 
brother, David, Neal, and Joel Beck; sister, Wanda Richardson; and four 
grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Friday, July 4, at 2 p.m. at 
Eastview Baptist Church with Rev. Reginald Campbell and Rev. Gene Beck 
officiating. Interment followed in Eastview Cemetery. Pallbearers were Bo 
Hulsey, Harry Morgan, Kevin Buffy, Lee Richardson, Robbie Sullivan, Ronald 
Head, Chuck Gaylor, and James Green. Honorary pallbearers were Roy Anderson, 
Buster Cooke, Junior Drummond, and Charles Welchel. Gammage Funeral Home was in
