Stephens wend@bellsouth.net April 17, 2004, 12:25 pm (Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA., September 30, 2003) Michael Bentley, 60, of 65 Virginia Circle, passed away Monday, Sept. 22. He was born July 19, 1943 in Buchanan. He was a deacon of Southside Baptist Church, a member of Caledonia Lodge 121, a member of the Army National Guard and owner of Bentley Brothers Farm Equipment. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Gaynell Bentley. Survivors include: wife, Ann Bentley; children, Mike Bentley and Jennifer Davis; brothers, Terry Bentley, Gerald “Doc” Bentley, B.L. Bentley and Jim Bentley; and two grandchildren. Services were conducted Thursday, Sept. 25, at 2 p.m. at Southside Baptist Church with Rev. W.A. Ivie, Rev. J.C. Robinson and Rev. Aubrey Pierce officiating. Interment followed at the Northview Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Benjamin Bentley, Jeff Sanders, Mike Gaines, Johnny Pope, Max Witcher, Don Rhodes, Aubrey Pierce and Gene Pierce, with the Southside Deacons and Yolkfellows serving as honorary pallbearers. The Gammage Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
