Diana Lynn Bowers, 46, of Buxton, NC, passed away Saturday, July 26, 2003. She 
was born in Rome and was a homemaker, a member of the Cape Hatteras Island 
Chapter 303 of the Order of Eastern Star and a member of Little Grove United 
Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Freeman 
Crawford Jr. and Barbara Sorells Crawford. Survivors include daughters, Barbara 
Ann Barnett and Patricia Mae Smith; sons, Cain and Corbin Bowers; sister, 
Debbie Adams; three brothers, Jimmie L. Crawford, Donald R. Crawford, and Dan 
Sherman. Funeral services were conducted at Little Grove United Methodist 
Church of Frisco, NC, Tuesday, July 29 ay 2 p.m. with Rev. Jim Huskins, Rev. 
Dwight Burrus, and Rev. Charles Mosley officiating. Interment followed in the 
family cemetery. Twiford’s Island Chapel of Hatteras, NC, was in charge of the
