Stephens wend@bellsouth.net April 17, 2004, 2:35 pm (Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA., October 21, 2002) Wilma Jean Bowman, 69, of 100 W. Prior St., Cedartown, passed away Saturday, Oct. 12, 2002. She was born June 4, 1933 in Cleburne County, Ala. She was preceded in death by her husband, D. C. Bowman, and her parents, James Bradley and Bessie Mize. Survivors include: daughters, Marie Ploof and Jeanette Bowman; sisters, Barbara Smith, Joyce Bonner and Mary Wicichouski; brother, W. D. “Dub” Mize; six grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2002 at 3 p.m. in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. David Carter and Rev. Delton Harne officiating. Interment followed in Northview Cemetery. Pallbearers were Bob Witter, Bryce Bowman, Jimmy Rosser, Jason Hall, Earl Lingo, and Willie Short. Honorary pallbearer was Daryl Fenley.
