Stephens wend@bellsouth.net April 17, 2004, 2:52 pm (Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA, February 10, 2004) Annie Mae “Miss Annie” Evans Brown, 81, of Fort Payne, Ala. died Thursday, Jan. 29, 2004. Mrs. Brown was born Nov. 20, 1922 in Jackson County, Ala. She was a member of the Second Baptist Church of Fort Payne. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Vera Ivey Evans. Survivors include: her husband, Rev. Harvey Brown Sr., Fort Payne, Ala.; daughters, Jo Dean and Diane Langston, both of Fort Payne, Ala.; sons, Harvey Brown Jr., Rome, and Tim Brown, Las Vegas, Nev.; and brother, Delbert Evans, Anniston, Ala. A number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 31, at 2:30 p.m., from the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. John Screws, Dr. J. Clifton Brown, Rev. Steve Swafford and Rev. Lewis Brown officiating. Interment followed the Glenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers included Ben Johnson, Roy Johnson, O.H. Morgan, Wallace Smith, Bobby Hendricks and Bud Jones. Wilson Funeral Home of Fort Payne, Ala. was in charge of the arrangements.
