John Herman Brown, 76, of 817 N. College Dr., Cedartown, passed away Sunday, 
Nov. 17, 2002. He was born Feb. 25, 1926 in Floyd County and was a member of 
Second Baptist Church of Cedartown. He was preceded in death by his parents, 
Deforest and Minnie Florence Stewart Brown. Survivors include: daughters, Laura 
Kelley of Cedartown and Barbara Brown of Rome; brother, Roy Brown of Cedartown; 
sister, Clara Presley of Columbia, S.C.; and three grandchildren. Graveside 
services were conducted Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2002 at 2 p.m. in the Polk Memory 
Gardens with Dr. Larry Connor and Rev. Bill Heaton officiating. Pallbearers 
were Doyle Kelley, Trey Kelley, Lee Kelley, Terry Weaver, John Dean, and Steve 
Molock. The family asks that flowers be omitted and memorial contributions be 
made to either the Arthritis Foundation or the American Heart Association.
