Stephens wend@bellsouth.net April 17, 2004, 3:00 pm (Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA., April 1, 2004) Woodrow W. Brumbelow, 89, of 70 Elm St., Aragon passed away Sunday, March 28, 2004. He was born Sept. 3, 1914 in Floyd County, the son of the late Delia Agan Brumbelow and Andrew Brumbelow. He was a retired employee of the Georgia Department of Transportation, a deacon and member of the Aragon Baptist Church and former member of the Aragon City Council. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Boots Fay Brumbelow. Survivors include his wife, Pearl Brumbelow of Aragon; sons, James Brumbelow of Rockmart and Danny Brumbelow of Yorkville; daughters, Bobbie Sorrells of Rockmart, Joyce Deaton and Patsy Deaton, both of Aragon; brothers, Noble Brumbelow of Aragon and Roy Brumbelow of Mableton; sister, Jessie Campbell of Powder Springs; nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, March 31, at 2 p.m., in the Aragon Baptist Church with the Rev. Wayne Fainn and Rev. Ladell Jacobs officiating. Interment followed in the Aragon Cemetery. The Freeman Harris Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
