SW, Taylorsville, passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2003. She was born July 18, 1923 in Polk County, daughter of the late Etta Green and the late Jimmy Gentry. She was a homemaker and a member of the Hills Creek Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry J. Burnley; first husband, Joseph Williams; sons, Walter and Marsenior Williams; three brothers, and two sisters. Survivors include: daughters, Clara Cox and Carolyn Williams; stepdaughter, Barbara Moore of Atlanta; sisters, Evelyn Carter and Myrtle Lewis; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Thursday, June 5, 2003, at 2 p.m. in the Hills Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Chambers, Rev. Charles Garrett, and Rev. Shane Hembree officiating. Interment followed in the Hills Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers were Wayne Hembree, David Hembree, Clarence Hembree, George Hembree, James Hembree, and Edward Hembree. Freeman Harris Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
