Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA, November 3, 1988. 
Edward (Penny) Pearce, 92, Jacksonville, Fla., formerly of Aragon, died Friday, 
October 28. Mr. Pearce was born October 31, 1895, in Polk County. He was a 
member of the Hillscreek Baptist Church. Surviving are two sons, Edward Lewis 
Pearce, St. Augustine; Joe Pearce, Jacksonville, Fla.. Four Grandchildren and 
two great great grandchildren also survive. Funeral services were held Monday, 
October 31, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the Freeman Harris Funeral Home with 
the Rev. Howard Locklear officiating. Interment followed in Hillscreek 
Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were James Hembree, Johnny Hembree; Grady 
Column, C. J. Griffin, Troy Alexander, James Gentry, Edward Rowell. Freeman 
Harris Funeral Home of Rockmart had charge of arrangements. Appeared in the 
Cedartown Standard, November 3, 1988.
