He was born June 28, 1914, in Polk County, GA.. He was a retired textile employee and a member of New Prospect Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Felton and Emma Moody Coker. He is survived by: wife, Mrs. Emma Jean Kelly Coker of Dallas, sons, Mr. Sammy Coker of Weaver, Ala., Mr. Dennis Coker of Rockmart, daughter, Mrs. Mildred Carter of Dallas, Mrs. Edna Welch of Rockmart, Ms. Mary Ella Leakey of Anniston, Ala., Ms. Jean Marler of Oxford, Ala., Mr. Sue Gill of Lexington, Ky., Ms. Diane Vice of Rockmart, Mrs. Mary Ann Cantrell of Dallas, sister, Mrs. Ola Mae Minter of Rockmart; 30 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren, and 9 great great grandchildren. The Funeral Service was held Sat., Dec. 13 at 2 p.m., from the Freeman Harris Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Parrish officiating. Interment followed in New Prospect Cemetery. Pallbearers: Dr. C. Richard Gill, Robert Oliver, Donnie Coker, Lonnie Coker, Michael Leakey, and Larry Osmer. Honorary Pallbearers: Daniel Vice and Ralph Cantrell.
