Stephens wend@bellsouth.net May 1, 2004, 11:36 am The Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA, November 1997 James Pinson "Jim" Bennett, 86, of Oxford, Ala., passed away Wednesday, Nov. 19, 1997 at his residence. Mr. Bennett was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are: wife, Ellen Bennett of Oxford: daughter, Mary Jim Harper of Reform, Ala.; sister, Annie Tom Hightower of Eufaula, Ala.; two grandchildren and a great grandchild. Funeral services were held Friday, Nov. 21, at 11 a.m., at the Miller Funeral Home, with Ron Ethridge officiating. Interment followed in the Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery of Anniston, Ala.. Serving as pallbearers were: Morris Phillips, Tom Vaughn, Winston Bentley, Dewey Hughes, William Henry Cooper and Larry Hicks. Honorary pallbearers included: Rick Brown, E.F. Bailey, Keith Timmons, Charles Carden, Jimmy Henderson, Bud Carden, Buster Austin, and Jim Justice. The Miller Funeral Home of Oxford, Ala., had charge of the arrangements.
