Mr. Jerry Steven Walley, Sr., age 69, of Cedartown, passed away Sunday, 
December 28, 1997 after an extended illness. Mr. Walley was born on November 
14, 1928, in Polk County and was a member of the First Baptist Church of 
Cedartown. He retired from the United States Postal Service as a rural mail 
carrier. He was preceded in death by his parents, L. W. and Nellie Walley, and 
brother, Thomas Walley. Survivors include his wife Joann Isbell Walley, 
Cedartown; a daughter, Debbie Wallie Morman; a son, Jerry Steven Walley, Jr.; 
two grandchildren, and a great grandchild. Memorial services were held Monday 
December 29, 1997 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with 
the Rev. Wayne Benefield officiating. The family is accepting flowers, however, 
contributions can be made to the memorial fund of the First Baptist Church. 
Gammage Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
