(Cedartown Standard, Thursday, January 2, 1919) 
Mrs. T. G. W. McMeekin, was found dead in bed Sunday morning. Her neighbor, 
Mrs. J. M. Stewart, took the venerable woman some breakfast, and found that 
death had come during the night. When her husband was postmaster here about 
thirty years ago, Mrs. McMeekin served as his assistant, and she was well known 
and had many friends in the community. (Cedartown Standard, Thursday, January
