 Rev. McKibben, age 86, of 1326 McKibben Street, passed away Sunday, September 
15, 1996. Mr. McKibben was born December 22, 1909 in Polk County.  He was a 
member of Union Grove Baptist Church, serving as pastor and a deacon; a member 
of the Masonic Lodge No. 121; and an employee of the Goodyear Tire and Rubber 
Company for over 32 years. Surviving are: wife, Zelma M. McKibben of Cedartown; 
son Joe McKibben of Greenville, South Carolina; two daughters, Mrs. Doyce 
Hooper and Mrs. Nell Alexander, both of Cedartown; sister Anadene Ford of 
Whiteford, Maryland; eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Funeral 
services were held Tuesday, Sept. 17, at 2 p.m., in Union Grove Baptist Church 
with the Rev. Billy Swift officiating. Interment followed in Polk Memory 
Gardens. The Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements.
