Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, Ga, Wednesday, December 26, 1990
Maxie Bernice Ballard, age 80, 229 Adams Ave., Cedartown, died Tuesday, 
December 18.  Mrs. Ballard was born Sept. 2, 1910, in Cleburne County, Ala.  
She was a member of the Oak Level United Methodist Church and the Benedict Home 
Demonstration Club.  Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Geneva Martin and Mrs. 
Vashtie Tanner, both of Cedartown, Mrs. Clara Weaver, Felton; two sisters-in-
law, Sara Woody, Cedartown, Lizzie Gray, Fruithurst, Ala.  A number of nieces 
and nephews also survive.  Funeral services were held Thursday, December 20 , 
at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Litesey Funeral Home with the Rev. Clifford 
Chandler and the Rev. James Rosser officiating.  Interment followed in the 
Northview Cemetery.  (Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, Ga, Wednesday, December
