The Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA, March 13, 1997
Virginia Simpson Whitehead, age 83, of 152 Marshall Street, passed away Friday, 
March 7, 1997.  Mrs. Whitehead was born Aug. 30, 1913 in Polk County.  She was 
a member of the First United Methodist Church.  Survivors include: son, James 
H. Whitehead of Atlanta; sister Lucille Barron of Jasper; and two 
grandchildren.  Graveside services were held Saturday, March 8, at 4 p.m., in 
Northview Cemetery, with Rev. Jeff Ross officiating. The Lester C. Litesey 
Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements.
