The Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA, Wednesday, January 2, 1991
Mrs. Jessie Thacker Redden. 86, 1018 Prior Station Road, Cedartown, died 
Thursday, December 27.  Mrs. Redden was born August 4, 1904 in Cherokee County, 
Ala.  She was a member of the Old Nazzereth Baptist Church, Forney, Ala.  Mrs. 
Redden is preceded in death by her husband, James L. Redden 1980.  Surviving 
are three daughters, Mrs. M.C. Agan, Mrs. William Cash and Mrs. Ronald Duncan 
all of Cedartown; one sister, Mrs. Jim Childers, Sylacauga, Ala.  Eleven 
grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren also 
survive.  Funeral services were held Saturday, December 29, at 2 p.m. in the 
Old Nazzereth Baptist Church with the Rev. Doyle Kerr, the Rev. Avery Ferguson, 
and the Rev. Eugene Again officiating.  Interment followed in the Hebron 
Cemetery.  Grandsons served as pallbearers.  The Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home 
had charge of arrangements.
