The Atlanta Constitution, Atlanta, Ga, May 11, 1882
From the Cedartown Advertiser:
---Mr. Middleton Prior, aged about 75 years died suddenly of heart disease at 
his home near Prior’s station, last Thursday. His remains were brought to this 
place on Friday and interred in the family burying ground one-half mile south 
of town. Mr. Prior was a mute and had never married.  He belonged to a large, 
well known Polk county family; all that is mortal of several of his brothers 
now reposing in the earth beside him.
