The Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, Ga, Tuesday, March 11, 1997
Lucian H. White, 77, of 114 Park Street, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 1997.  
Mr. White was born Sept. 17, 1919, in Cleburn County, Ala.  He was a member of 
Southside Baptist Church, Brotherhood Men’s Bible Class, Caladonia Lodge No. 
121 and VFW of Cedartown.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel 
Henry and Mary-Petty John White, and sister, Sadie Gaines.  Survivors include: 
wife, Agnes Williams White of Cedartown; two daughters, Beverly Kimball of 
Cedartown and Catherine Stringer of Rockmart; son, Sam White of Cedartown; 
sister, Bertie May Sutton of Pekin, Ill; four grandchildren and a great-
grandson.  Funeral services were held Thursday, March 6, at 3 p.m. from 
Southside Baptist Church, with the Revs. James Guy, Jason Stringer, and Charles 
Garner officiating.  Burial followed in Polk Memory Gardens with full military 
rites conducted by Cedartown VFW and full Masonic rites conducted by Caladonia 
Lodge No. 121.  Pallbearers were: Todd White, Tim White, Lacurtis Bentley, 
Buddy Gaines, Rick Gaines, Jimmy Taylor, Preston Lockridge, Steve Gilliam, 
Harold Berryhill, Edward Williams.  Honorary pallbearers included Clarence 
Fore, Bobby Green, Jerry Collier, Jerry Nicholson, Joe Collier, Willie Truett, 
J.C. Robinson, Mose Wilson, Larry Little, Crotell Worsham, Curtis Brown, Jerry 
Knowles, G.W. Mullinax, and Chesley Chambers.  The Gammage Funeral Home had
