The Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, Ga, Tuesday, March 11, 1997
Betty M. Brittain, 96, of Atlanta, formerly of Aragon, passed away Thursday, 
March 6, 1997.  Mrs. Brittain was born December 19, 1900 in Aragon.  She was a 
homemaker and a member of the Second Ponce Deleon Baptist Church.  She was 
preceded in death by her husband, Carl Brittain, and parents, Earl and Barney 
Turner Smith.  Surviving are: daughter, Geraldine Maxey, of Duluth; son, A.E. 
Cargill of Mobile, Ala.; and four grandchildren. Graveside services were held 
Saturday, March 8, at 3:30 p.m. in Aragon Cemetery, with the Rev. Duane Maxey 
officiating.  The Freeman Harris Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements.
