Stephens wend@bellsouth.net July 11, 2004, 6:36 pm The Daily Constitution, Atlanta, GA Cedartown Advertiser The measles, which have had a general run in the surrounding country as well as in our town, have seemingly been of a severe type, causing much suffering among those afflicted, and especially among older persons. We hear of two deaths near town the past week, resulting from relapses in cases of measles. Mr. James Brannon, a son of Mr. Enoch Brannon, about twenty two years of age, died on Tuesday of pneumonia, resulting from a relapse of measles. Mr. L.A. Kittle, living two miles from town died on the same day from much the same cause. These men were both enjoying apparent good health up to the time they were attacked with measles.
