Cedartown Standard, October 4, 1900
Young Son Jeffries, A very sad accident occurred at Aragon Sunday afternoon, 
which resulted in the death of the little son of Mr. and Mrs. Jeffries, 
employees of the Aragon Cotton Mills. The little fellow had accompanied his 
parents across the creek to Blue Springs, on the E. & W. R.R. On their return 
as they were recrossing the bridge, the lad fell to the rocks below, fracturing 
his skull. The family are strangers here, having recently moved to Aragon from 
South Carolina, but they have the heartfelt sympathy of the people of this 
section in their sad bereavement.
