Cedartown Standard, January 23, 1902
Mrs. Kate Harris, died Monday morning at her home in Birmingham of typhoid 
fever, after an illness of eight weeks. The remains were laid to rest Tuesday 
at the Kingston cemetery, a large number of relatives attended the funeral 
obsequies. Cap. J. A. Peek and Miss Mary Harris, uncle and cousin respectively 
of the deceased, went up Tuesday from Cedartown to be present at the interment. 
Mrs. Harris formerly lived in Cedartown and her many friends here greatly 
regret her death.
