Cedartown Standard, October 24, 1901
Miss Dorothy Gladding Comstock, a niece of Mrs. Geo. E. Benedict, died last 
night, aged fourteen years. She came here from Providence, RI, with her mother, 
Mrs. Harriette L. Comstock, about two weeks ago, seriously ill with 
tuberculosis, and her death was not unexpected. Funeral services will be 
conducted at the Samuel Benedict Memorial School at 3 o’clock this afternoon, 
with interment in the city cemetery.
