Cedartown Standard, July 17, 1902
Miss. Kittie Campbell, departed this life July 2d, 1902. She was the daughter 
of Mr. Patrick and Mrs. Sophronia Campbell. Her father died about ten years 
ago, and her mother lived near the Standard Cotton Mills in Cedartown. Her body 
was laid to rest in the Andy Stewart graveyard. She leaves several brothers and 
sisters and a mother to mourn their loss-not her ’s for to her to die is gain. 
She was 21 years old, and was kind-hearted and loved by all who knew her. She 
was no member of the church, but while attending Bro. Stanton’s meeting not 
long ago she was converted to the love of Christ by the singing of that good 
old song, "O Lord, send the power down just now, and baptize every one." That 
love she still retained on her death bed, and told how she loved God’s 
children. She was loved by all of the mill hands, as she was one herself at the 
Standard Mills. I don’t think I ever witnessed a sadder scene than when her 
body was removed from its home in the presence of the operative with whom she 
worked. But she is gone, but not forever. We hope to meet her by-and-by over
