Cedartown Standard, Thursday, January 31, 1918
Mrs. Mary Brown, one of Polk’s oldest ladies, passed away Thursday morning 
after a long illness, her death bringing sadness to all who knew her. She was a 
good Christian woman. Four son and two daughters survive her.
