Pace, 70, of 600 Springdale Road, Rockmart, died Monday, Jan. 27, 2003 following a sudden attack suffered at her residence. She was born on Dec. 14, 1932 in Polk County and lived her entire life in Rockmart where she was a homemaker and a member of the Rockmart Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl L. (Norris) Pace and her mother, Pearl Elrod, and her stepfather, Curtis Elrod. Survivors include daughters, Sherry Pace and Mrs. Robbie Hilliard, both of Rockmart, and Karen Fincher of Cedartown; son, Richard Earl Pace of Rockmart; brother, Duane Lyle of Rockmart; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, January 29, at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home. Ministers Craig Hallman and Alvis Miller officiated. Interment followed in Rose Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were John Durocher, Max Gober, Johnny Barnes, Dudley Waits, Jeff Barnes and Michael Leatherwood. The Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
