The Cedartown Standard, March 22, 1900
MRS. SARAH FRANCES (PEEK) CRABB DIES.  Mrs. Sarah Frances Peek Crabb, died on 
March 13, 1900.  She resided in the Fish Creek, Polk County, Georgia community 
at the time of her death. She was born on May 2, 1831, in Putnam County, 
Georgia and was the daughter of the late William B. Peek and the late Sarah 
Gilbert.  She is survived by her husband, William Darwin "Billy" Crabb, who 
served as 4 Corp, Co G, 1 GA Inf Reg, CSA.  10 children blessed their union, 
six of whom survive her, including her son Walton B. C. "Bud" Crabb, her son 
William Burton "Toby" Crabb, her daughter Sarah F. (Crabb) Harrison, (Mrs. 
Henry C. Harrison); her daughter Mary Octavia (Crabb) Akins (Mrs. James M. 
Akins);  and her daughter Rosa Lee (Crabb) Davis (Mrs. Andrew J. Davis).  She 
is preceded in death by 4 children.  The bereaved family desires to express 
their kindest gratitude to the people of the Fish Creek community and 
especially to the Rev. and Mrs. Oswalt for the many favors shown the family 
during their affliction.  Interment was in the Bethlehem Church Cemetery, at 
Fish Creek, Georgia.
