Annie Ruby Ford Poss, 92, of 38 Walnut St., Aragon, passed away Monday, May 12, 
2003. She was born Dec. 29, 1910 in Aragon and was a member of the Aragon 
Baptist Church. Prior to retirement, she was an employee with Aragon Mills. She 
was preceded in death by her husband, William Howard Poss, and her parents, 
Charlie P. and Alma Phillips Ford. Survivors include a son, Stephen R. Lyle of 
Aragon; a sister, Lavon George of Riverdale; 3 grandchildren and 1 niece. 
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, May 14 at 2 p.m. in the sanctuary of 
the Aragon Baptist Church with Dr. Gary Parrish officiating. Interment followed 
in the family lot in Aragon Cemetery. Pallbearers were Waymon Lanham, Rick 
Thompson, Jr., Wayne Hembree, Rudy Hindmon, Randy Hopper, Steve Hopper and 
Peter Goerissen. Honorary escorts were Matthew Helm and Patrick Helm. The 
Freeman Harris Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. (The Cedartown
