The Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA, May 27, 2003
Edith Roberts Puckett, 83, of 122 Cobb St., Cedartown, passed away Monday, May 
20, 2003. She was born in Cherokee, AL on Mar. 23, 1920, and was a member of 
the Oak Grove Baptist Church. She was retired from the Rome Plow Company and 
the City of Cedartown. She was preceded in death by her husband, retired 
Assistant Chief Paul Puckett, and her parents, Joseph Thomas and Sally 
Williamson Roberts. Survivors include son, Paul Puckett, Jr. of Rock Hill, SC; 
daughter, Sally Maedgen of Cedartown; 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren 
and a number of nieces and nephews. Memorial service was held Saturday, May 24, 
at 2 p.m. at Southside Baptist Church with Rev. J.C. Robinson and Rev. Wayne 
Puckett officiating. The Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home was in charge of the
