Mrs. Edna Ramey Rissmiller, 81, of 196 Cherokee Road, Cedartown passed away 
Wednesday, April 21. She was born Nov. 20, 1922 at Sullivan Island, S.C.. Mrs. 
Rissmiller was a member of the First Baptist Church and was a teacher in the 
Special Education Sunday School Class. She was retired from the Polk School 
District. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Franklin Rissmiller, 
Jr.; parents, Robert Erskine Ramey, Sr. and Catherine DeBray Ramey; sister, 
Frances Louise Ramey. Survivors include: daughters, Adonna Bentley and Alice 
Blackmon, both of Cedartown; brother, Mr. Erskin Ramey, Jr. of Cedartown; seven 
grandchildren and nine great grandchildren also survive. Funeral services were 
conducted Friday, April 23 at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Cedartown 
with Rev. Wayne Benefield and Rev. Bob Holcomb officiating. The interment 
followed in Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were her grandsons: Jonathan 
Blackmon, Michael Blackmon, Shannon Bentley, Matt Bentley, Brian Blankenship, 
Anthony Trawick, and Stephen Puckett. The Gammage Funeral Home of Cedartown was
