Mr. John T. Sanders, age 77, of Powder Springs, died Wednesday, July 10.  He 
was born March 8, 1914, in Piedmont, Alabama.  Mr. Sanders was a member of 
Clarkdale Baptist Church, Lathem Masonic Lodge in Austell, Yaarab Shrine Temple 
in Atlanta.  He had been retired from Coats and Clark Thread Mill since 1976.  
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Novie Sanders, of Powder Springs; one 
daughter, Sandra Cleland, of Cedartown; one brother, Dorace Sanders of Leeds, 
Alabama; two sisters, Virginia Self, of Alexander City, Alabama, and Florida 
Hodges, of Talladega, Alabama; three grandchildren and several nieces and 
nephews.  Funeral services were held Friday, July 12, at 11 a.m. at Clarkdale 
Baptist Church with the Rev. Marvin Frady, the Rev. Julian Leroy and the Rev. 
Loyd Rakestraw officiating.  Interment followed in the Mozeley Memorial 
Gardens.  The Bellamy Funeral Home of Powder Springs was in charge of the
