Stephens stephens2247@bellsouth.net January 25, 2007, 11:46 am The Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA, April 08, 2003 Etta Mae Scott, 72, 26 Alabama St., Cave Spring, died Sunday, March 30, in a Rome hospital. A native of Laurens County, Scott was born May 12, 1930 and was the daughter of the late Worthen L. and Claudia Clements Foskey. She moved to Cave Spring in 1964 and was a retired beautician. She has also been a house- parent at the Georgia School for the Deaf in Cave Spring for a number of years, and she attended the Cave Spring United Methodist Church. Scott is survived by her husband, Treddis Scott, to whom she was married Sept. 29, 1950; a son, Johnny Scott of Moreland; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Jane Ayers of Cave Spring; three brothers, Booth Foskey and Eddie Foskey, both of Dublin, and Rev. Everett Foskey of Albany; two sisters, Mrs. Vera Wood, Dublin, and Mrs. Carrie Dominy of Centerville; and two grandchildren. Funeral services were held Wednesday, April2, at the Cave Spring United Methodist Church with Dr. Yim Kul Lee, Rev. Everett Foskey and Rev. Jim Whitworth officiating. Interment followed at the Cave Spring Cemetery. John House’s Cave Spring Chapel Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
