The Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA, May 13, 2003
Christy Burkhalter Shelley, 42, of 876 Denton Rd., Cedartown, passed away 
Wednesday, May 6, 2003. She was born in Polk County. She was preceded in death 
by her father, William Eugene Burkhalter, and a daughter, Jada Dooley. 
Survivors include: husband, Kenneth Alan Shelley; daughter, Hannah Dooley; 
sons, Jake Dooley, JoJo Dooley, and Sam Shelley; stepson, Alex Shelley; mother, 
Ann Burkhalter; sister, Beth Maxwell; brothers, Dan Burkhalter and Steve 
Burkhalter. Funeral services were conducted Thursday, May 8 at 1 p.m. in the 
chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Dr. Larry Conner, Steve Fetkenhour, and 
Rev. Billy Brown officiating. Interment followed in the Greenwood Cemetery. 
Pallbearers were Jody Guice, Craig Burkhalter, Scott Colbert, Chuck Ledford, 
Kelly Guice, Brad Vance, and Chris Barnett. (The Cedartown Standard, Cedartown,
