Jacqueline “Jackie” Barber Shoemaker, 53, 99 Barber Rd., Rockmart, passed away 
Wednesday, Sept. 3. She was born in Polk County on May 20, 1950, the daughter 
of the late Grace Camp Barber and the late William L. Barber. She was a 
graduate of Rockmart High School, a homemaker and a member of the Bethlehem 
Baptist Church. Shoemaker was preceded in death by her sister, Cathy Barber. 
Survivors include: husband, Wayne Shoemaker of Rockmart; son, Guy Robinson of 
Rockmart; daughter, Kimberly Lynn Robinson Arrington of Dahlonega; and sister, 
Judy Barber Carpenter of Aragon. Five grandchildren also survive. Funeral 
services were held Saturday, Sept. 6, in the Chapel of the Freeman Harris 
Funeral Home, Rockmart, with Rev. Wayne Tant officiating. Interment followed at 
the Upper Cane Creek of Fruithurst, Ala. The Freeman Harris Funeral Home was in
