Annie Mae Short, age 90, of 121 Spruce Street, Cedartown, passed away 
Wednesday, Aug. 4, 1993, after an extended illness.  Mrs. Short was born Dec. 
13. 1902, in Floyd County.  She was a member of Cloud Springs Baptist church.  
She was preceded in death by her husband, M. L. Short and daughter, Frances L. 
Golden.  Surviving are: son Jerry Short of Cedartown; two daughters, Leslie 
Tankersley and Linda Frood, both of Cedartown: one sister, Evie Williams of 
Floyd County; 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-
grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews.  Funeral services were held 
Saturday, Aug. 7, at 22 p.m. in the New Harmony Baptist Church with the Rev. 
DeWayne New and the Rev. Larry Conner officiating.  Interment followed in New 
Harmony Cemetery. Gammage Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements. (The
