Ms. Donna Cindy Nichols Smith, 35, of 832 Wimberly Hill Rd., Cedartown, died 
Thursday, Sept. 28, 2006 in a Franklin, GA nursing center following a lengthy 
illness. Ms. Smith was born in Polk County on May 24, 1971, a daughter of 
Donald Franklin Nichols and the late Patricia Sue Knight Nichols. She had lived 
all of her life in Polk County and was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are son, 
James Dustin Nichols of Cartersville; parents, Donald and Shirley Nichols of 
Cedartown; sister, Barbara and Kenneth Stringer of Cartersville; step brother, 
Scott Carden of Rome; step sisters, Charity Cody and Tonya Peterson, both of 
Rockmart. The graveside funeral and interment services were held at 3 p.m. 
Friday, Sept. 29, 2006 in Eastview Baptist Church Cemetery, Cedartown, with 
Rev. Billy Swift officiating. Pallbearers included David Rogers, Mark 
Benefield, Che Dean, Nick Jackson, Roy Yarbrough and Mike Duncan. The Alvis 
Miller & Son Funeral Home had charge of arrangements. (The Rockmart Journal,
