Malline Beck Smith, 87, of Marietta passed away Monday, July 7, 2003. She was 
born in Polk County and was a homemaker and a member of Maple Avenue United 
Methodist Church in Marietta. Survivors include brothers, E.L. Smith, Jr. of 
Hull and Bob Smith of Powder Springs; four grandchildren, five great-
grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were 
conducted Wednesday, July 9 at Maple Avenue United Methodist Church in Marietta 
with Rev. Kelly Brisendine and Rev. George Wanamaker officiating. The Mayes 
Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home of Marietta was in charge of the arrangements. (The
