Elizabeth C. Stillwell, 83, of 13 Oak St., Rome, formerly of Cedartown, passed 
away Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2002. Mrs. Stillwell was born June 23, 1919 in Cave 
Spring. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver Stillwell and her 
parents, Adelbert David Carpenter and Lizzie Mae Harper Carpenter. Survivors 
include three sisters, three brothers, three grandchildren and four great-
grandchildren. Graveside services were conducted Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2003 at 11 
a.m. in the Cave Spring Cemetery. Dr. Dewayne New officiated, and interment 
followed in Cave Spring Cemetery. Pallbearers were Freddie Giles, Darrell 
Forrister, Grady McCrickard, Jeremy New, Sammy Stephens, Cory Stephens. Gammage 
Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. (The Cedartown Standard,
