Stephens stephens2247@bellsouth.net January 25, 2007, 11:36 am The Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA, March 27, 2003 Walter H. “Dub” Sutton, Jr., 82, of 514 Olive St., Cedartown passed away Friday, Mar. 21, 2003. He was born Sept. 16, 1920 in Polk County. He was retired from Henkal Chemicals of Cedartown and was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving during World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Stella Lawrence Sutton, Sr.; an infant daughter; brothers, Joe and Jimmy Sutton; sisters, Virginia Sutton and Nedra Adams. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Chandler Sutton of Cedartown; son, Dennis Sutton of Kingsland; daughters, Diane Sutton, Phyllis Henderson and Teresa Stewart, all of Cedartown; brother, Robert Sutton of Headland, AL; sisters, Evelyn Sutton of Cedartown and Frances Brown of San Antonio, TX; 7 grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted Sunday, March 23 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of the Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home with Rev. Willard Willis and Brian Salter officiating. Interment followed in the Friendship Cemetery with Full Military Honors conducted by the Brewster Cleveland Post #86 of Cedartown. The Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
