January 19, 2007, 10:14 am The Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA, January 28, 2003 Lula Shaw Steppe Tant, 92, of 620 Parkwood Ln., Cedartown, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2003. She was born Nov. 19, 1910 in Floyd County and was a member of Worldview Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by: parents, Tomas Augustas and Ella Youngblood Shaw; brothers, Ralph, Perry, Herman, Earl, Coy, and George Shaw; sisters, Hattie Hopper and Minnie Johnson; husbands, Claude Steppe and Louie Tant; and stepson, Claude Steppe, Jr. A number of grandchildren, nieces and nephews survive. Graveside services were conducted Thursday, Jan. 23 at 2 p.m. in the Southland Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Cayce, SC with Dr. Pete Cassidy officiating. The family asks that flowers be omitted and memorial contributions be made to the Jackson Chapel Cemetery Fund or to Hayman Hospice of Rome. Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
