Stephens stephens2247@bellsouth.net January 29, 2007, 6:59 pm The Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA, August 28, 2003 Charles Ollie Wigley, Sr., of 1244 Rockmart Hwy, Cedartown, passed away Thursday, Aug. 21, 2003. He was born Dec. 26, 1929 in Polk County to the late James “Jim” Sr. and Ida Cash Wigley. He was employed most of his life with the textile industry, retiring from Shaw Industries, and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Viola Presley Wigley, and two brothers, Harold Wigley and James Wigley, Jr. Survivors include his wife, Mamie Ruth McDowell Wigley of Cedartown; daughters, Linda Osborne and Sandra Ross; son, Charles “Bug” Wigley Jr.; stepdaughters, Deborah Galding and Linda Robinson; stepson, Bobby Bradley, IV; sisters, Geneva Tinnan, Louise Sanders, and Annell Crumley; brothers, Cecil, Paul, and Alvin Wigley; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Friday, Aug. 22 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Freeman Harris Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Robinson and Rev. Eddie Hughes officiating. Interment followed in Aragon Cemetery. Pallbearers were Kevin Wigley, Jeff Cook, Jamie Cook, Danny Reeverts, Jose Chavez, and Hank Thaxton, Jr. Honorary pallbearers were David Wheeler, Jerry Wigley, Ronnie Robinson, and Jamie Swan. Freeman Harris Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
