Stephens stephens2247@bellsouth.net January 25, 2007, 11:30 am Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA, March 18, 2003 Eugene Curtis Wilson, 88, of 560 Wimberly Hill Road, Cedartown, passed away Sunday, Mar. 9, 2003 in Polk Medical Center following a brief illness. He was born in Walker County on Nov. 11, 1914 and had been a resident of Polk County for the past 30 years, moving here from Fulton County. He was a member of the Summerville First United Methodist Church and a former employee of Mead Manufacturing Company. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mable Virginia Taylor Wilson; son, William Curtis Wilson; daughter, Gwendolyn Billingham; and parents, William Carl and Myrtle Partain Wilson. Survivors include son, Jim Wilson of Cedartown; daughters, Peggy Bosco of Lakeland, FL, Patricia Scarfone of Clearwater, FL and Donna Dailey of Rockmart; brothers, William Harold Wilson of Summerville, John Henry Wilson of Alabama, and James “Pete” Wilson of Panama City, FL; 33 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 11 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Birch Fannin officiating. Interment followed in the Polk Memory Gardens. Pallbearers were Michael Wilson, James Reliford, Jerry Harcourt, Tony Valentine, Tim Carter and T.J. Harcourt. The Alvis Miller & Sons Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
