she was born in Calhoun County, AL.  Her first husband was William Anderson 
Smith. William and Alice had eleven children.  William was murdered in 1908.  
Sara married Bose Hudgins August 14, 1911 in Floyd County, Cave Spring, GA. and 
they had three children.
