Mr. Joseph R. Burrows, aged about 23 years, died at the home of his uncle, Mr. Stonewall Burrows, near Finleyson, on Tuesday afternoon about three o'clock from tuberculosis. Mr. Burrows was a son of the late Joseph M. Burrows, one of Hawkinsville's best known and most highly esteemed citizens. He was a young man of splendid character, with a bright future before him, and his untimely death brought sorrow to many friends, He is survived by two brothers and a number of other relatives. The remains were brought to Hawkinsville and interred in Orange Hill Cemetery Wednesday afternoon at three o'clock. The services at the grave were conducted by Rev. E. H. McGehee, assisted by Rev. Charles L. Greaves.
