G. R. MCCALL. Mrs. George R. McCall, aged about 67 years, died Thursday afternoon at two o'clock at the home of Mr. and Mrs. D. R. Pearce in this city. Mrs. McCall's death was due to apoplexy, with which she was stricken about three weeks ago. Mrs. McCall was well known in Hawkinsville where she formerly lived for many years and her death brings sadness to a large circle of friends. She was the widow of the late Rev. George R. McCall, who for fifteen or sixteen years following the close of the civil war was pastor of the Hawkinsville Baptist church and one of the best known and ablest ministers in the state. She is survived by three children, Mr. Tom McCall, of Brunswick, Mr. Henry McCall, of Oviedo, Fla., and Mrs. Allie Farmer, of New Orleans, all of whom were with her during her last illness. The funeral was held from the Baptist church this morning at ten o'clock by Rev. C. L. Greaves, assisted by Rev. E. H. McGehee, and the interment was in Orange Hill Cemetery.
