    DEATH OF MR. GEORGE W. MASHBURN.
 
  Mr. George W. Mashburn died at eight 
o'clock this Tuesday morning at the 
home of his son-in-law, Mr. J. R. 
Tippett, in this city. Mr. Mashburn was 
stricken with paralysis twelve months 
ago, from which he never recovered. He 
was sixty-nine years old, and was a 
soldier in the Confederate army. He 
leaves a wife and one daughter, Mrs. J. 
R. Tippett, of this city, and three 
brothers, Messrs. Dave, Bob and Tuck 
Mashburn, of Dooly, besides other 
relatives. 
  The funeral will occur tomorrow at 
Wesley Chapel.
