He Was a Son of the Late Capt. John A. Coffee. Mr. John Coffee, aged about twenty- six years, son of the late Capt. John A. Coffee, of this county, died at Ausly, Ala., from an attack of meningitis and the remains were brought to this city for internment, being accompanied by his mother and brother- in-law, Dr. Cunningham, of Atlanta, and Capt. Robert Brown, of Macon. The remains were carried to the home of Hon. J. Pope Brown, upon their arrival Sunday night, from which place the funeral occurred Monday afternoon at two o'clock, being conducted by Rev. E. H. McGehee, and the interment followed in Orange Hill Cemetery.
