                KRAFT CHEESE CO WILL LOCATE IN HAWKINSVILLE
                             CORDELE NEWS
     According to the Hawkinsville Dispatch & News last week, the Kraft-Phenix
Cheese Company, of Chicago,will establish a pant in Hawkinsville. The work of
installing machinery for the plant, which will begin operation June15, started
Monday.
     The newspaper states that the location of the cheese factory is a results
of the efforts of the Hawkinsville Chamber of Commerce.
     A survey disclosed that 633 customers will furnish the raw product to the
factory from some 3,000 cows.
     According to the newspaper the citizens of Hawkinsville and the farmers of
Pulaski County hail the establishing of the cheese factory as great event in the
economical kife of the community.
