Quite a number of Cochranites went down to Eastman Monday to witness the ball game between Cochran and Eastman. Among the party were Miss Fanny Smith and Miss Mae Urquhart, who were chaperoned by Mrs. Mell Blazer. ~Mrs. Julia Boothe, of Cochran, spent Sunday and Monday in the city the guest of her son, Mr. W. D. Boothe. ~Misses Marie Walker and Carrie Mae Chapman, of Cochran, where the guests of Miss Sallie Frank Thompson. ~Miss Nattie Wynne, of Cochran, is the guest of her aunt, Mrs. M. J. Bell. ~Mr. B. J. Wynne, of Cochran, was in the city Wednesday. Friday, July 10, 1908 ~Miss Ruth Taylor, of Cochran, is the guest of Mrs. W. W. Poole. ~Hon. W. J. Mullis, of Cochran, is in the city. ~Mr. Barkwell Thompson, of Cochran, was in the city Tuesday. ~Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Thompson, Sr., of Cochran, have been spending several days in the city as guests of Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Thompson. ~Mr. and Mrs. D. A. Duggin, of Cochran, spent Friday and Saturday in the city as guests of Mr. and Mrs. T. B. Ragan. ~Col. H. F. Lawson attended court at Cary last Saturday. ~Miss Fannie Lee Taylor, of Cochran, is the guest of Miss Kemper Thompson.
